I am a Yale-educated, Cornell- and Columbia-trained psychiatrist (MD) with a PhD in neuroscience, providing customized treatment based on individual needs. I am committed to improving the wellness of my patients through a flexible and responsive approach. I specialize in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology for anxiety, OCD, ADHD, mood, and personality disorders. I am well versed in CBT, IPT, DBT, and psychodynamic psychotherapy (insight-oriented psychotherapy). I'm board certified (ABPN) in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I believe that effective treatment requires getting to know patients as individuals.

I completed my psychiatric nurse practitioner training at NYU with a clinical focus in child/adolescent psychiatry. Since then I have worked extensively with adolescents coming out of intensive care programs for psychosis and children/adolescents with neurodiversity. I am also an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Nursing teaching inpatient psychiatric clinicals. I provide various psychiatric assessment and treatment, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual therapy, school collorations and genetic testing. A typical initial evaluation is 90 minutes and the follow-ups are 30 minutes.

It is a privilege to do what I do on a daily basis; working with the "body/mind connection". I love working with people and going through their life stages together; adolescents, college students, young adults and then adults. I believe that the modality of treatment should be suited to the patient's needs. I have trained through different schools and continue to do so. Once we work together on identifying their issues, we work on them with a "tailored treatment", that said; individual psychotherapy, mindfulness meditation, complementary treatment with vitamins, exercises and if needed medication.

I ONLY do "talk therapy,” using a combination of evidence based methods. I do NOT provide OR refill medications OR prescriptions! Confidential (e-mail, text, video, phone) and remote - whatever way works for you. I mainly work with women, but welcome everyone! Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.
