I am a board-certified psychiatrist and graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and New York University (NYU). After graduating as chief resident, I went on to pursue a fellowship and work in the public sector serving those most in need. My clients often include those that have been struggling with difficulties that impair their day to day function, leaving them unsatisfied, unhappy or struggling with inner turmoil or anxiety. A distinguished graduate of Rutgers University and St. George's University School of Medicine, Dr. Devesh Jalan is a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in providing patient-centered care. After serving as an attending psychiatrist for family health centers in Florida and California caring for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Dr. Jalan brings a wealth of experience to his work with patients at NYC Psychiatric Associates.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I’d like to welcome you to my practice.  I am experienced in diagnosing, assessing, and providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.  I prescribe medications within the context of a holistic and culturally sensitive approach.   From genetic testing to bio-psycho-social assessment of your situation, I am dedicated to making thoughtful and informed treatment plans tailored to your specific needs. I recognize the value of healing within the context of a positive, supportive and safe relationship. I collaborate extensively with other health care providers in your team.

I am a Doctoral trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 20+ years of health care experience and 16 years of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy expertise. I received my Doctorate and Master’s degrees from the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) IHP in Boston. I provide a safe environment and partnership with my clients. I customize pharmaceutical and therapy solutions based on individual needs.

Emily is a ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in psychiatric mental health nursing from New York University. Emily completed her residency at the Northern California VA Medical Center, where her clinical experience included both dual-diagnosis and trauma-focused care.
