I am a board certified psychiatrist. I am also a psychoanalyst trained at the William Alanson White Institute. I specialize in psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy, which means we can work on looking at the underlying issues, that you may be unconscious of, that cause problems in daily living and contribute to unhappiness and lack of fulfillment. I am a board-certified psychiatrist and graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and New York University (NYU). After graduating as chief resident, I went on to pursue a fellowship and work in the public sector serving those most in need. My clients often include those that have been struggling with difficulties that impair their day to day function, leaving them unsatisfied, unhappy or struggling with inner turmoil or anxiety. I've worked at length with a wide variety of people. From counseling at an all-girl college to working in the prison system, I find strong connections with people from all walks of life. Emily is a ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor of science in nursing and a master of science in psychiatric mental health nursing from New York University. Emily completed her residency at the Northern California VA Medical Center, where her clinical experience included both dual-diagnosis and trauma-focused care.

I believe that each individual is unique and requires a personalized approach to therapy. Drawing from my training at Columbia and Yale, I treat people going through difficult life circumstances including relationship difficulties, family problems, anxiety, trauma and job stress. I also have expertise in working with a range of psychiatric illnesses, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and OCD. I have a special interest in working with college and graduate students and patients with complex trauma histories. By integrating psychotherapy with medication management, I strive to help patients attain their goals.

Dear future patients, my name is Chika Odili and I'm a board-certified nurse practitioner. I know we haven’t met yet, but when we do, please trust that you are in good hands. It is my absolute pleasure to assist in your care. I started my career doing an internship at a prestigious children’s hospital in the Texas Medical Center on an adolescent GI unit where I was able to work with individuals with eating related disorders. I then went on to complete my Bachelors in Nursing Degree and began working as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Unit caring for the psychiatric population.

I hold a post-master Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Cincinnati, OH. I also received my Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University and my Bachelor in Nursing from Adventist University of Health Sciences. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

I have traditional training in psychoanalysis and psychopharmacology, but I also use hypnosis, EMDR, and other innovative forms of treatment.
