I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience in general and addiction psychiatry. Most of my clinical expertise was developed in New York City and San Francisco treating children, adolescents, and adults with an extremely wide array of problems. I also served as the Director of the New York University Nurse Practitioner program. Authenticity and non-judgment drive my practice. I started my career doing an internship at a prestigious children’s hospital in the Texas Medical Center on an adolescent GI unit where I was able to work with individuals with eating related disorders. I then went on to complete my Bachelors in Nursing Degree and began working as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Unit caring for the psychiatric population.

I've worked at length with a wide variety of people. From counseling at an all-girl college to working in the prison system, I find strong connections with people from all walks of life. From a compatible connection can grow a good relationship; and this is what I base treatment upon. Adept at treating all standard psychiatric disorders as well as focusing in addressing the trauma related, substance, food, Relationship/Interpersonal, gender, sexual , and cultural problems that often accompany them.

I am a Doctoral trained Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 20+ years of health care experience and 16 years of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy expertise. I received my Doctorate and Master’s degrees from the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) IHP in Boston. I provide a safe environment and partnership with my clients. I customize pharmaceutical and therapy solutions based on individual needs.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and New York University (NYU). After graduating as chief resident, I went on to pursue a fellowship and work in the public sector serving those most in need. My clients often include those that have been struggling with difficulties that impair their day to day function, leaving them unsatisfied, unhappy or struggling with inner turmoil or anxiety.
