I'm a Columbia University-trained psychiatrist focusing on women's mental wellness. In addition to my expertise in general and addiction psychiatry, I'm one of a few doctors with specialized training in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry. I provide highly personalized and empathic treatment to women throughout the reproductive life cycle. Greetings! I am a NewYork-Presbyterian-affiliated psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. I offer both general psychiatric care as well as specialty care in women's mental health (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, medication safety in pregnancy, PMS, menopause). In addition to my training in clinical care, I have done research in the field of women's mental health and am an assistant professor of psychiatry at Weill Cornell. This expertise allows me to integrate the most up to date scientific findings into your clinical care.

I am happy to work with both men and women, including those who are already in therapy. I love to see people approach therapy with a sense of curiosity (which is always helpful!), whether they seek short term psychotherapy to address a current life challenge, assistance with chronic severe mental illness, or anything in between.

I am a Columbia-trained, board certified psychiatrist. I have broad expertise in providing treatment of mental health issues. In my practice, I use an individualized, empathic, collaborative approach to the treatment of psychiatric conditions. Ziv E. Cohen, MD, trained in medicine and psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, at Cornell University, and at Columbia University. He is a board certified psychiatrist maintaining a private practice focusing on Mood and Anxiety Disorders in adults and adolescents.
