I have a strong commitment to the well-being of my patients. My goal is to enable them to move on and maintain optimum quality of life, by providing support and a cutting edge, evidence-based care. After a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and assessing individual's goals, together we discuss findings and recommendations and create strategy with a specific treatment plan. I work with individuals experiencing wide range of psychiatric issues, such as anxiety, relationship issues, career problems, OCD, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, etc. I enjoy working with patients of all ethnicities/religions/sexual orientations/identities.

I am double board certified psychiatrist specializing in numerous psychiatric disorders as well as addiction disorders. I completed training at St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia and a specialty in Addiction at Beth Israel Hospital. For many years I was the Associate Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Department at Kings County Hospital and later became the Director of Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. I have lectured about the many forms of addiction at conferences and participated in Grand Rounds for hospitals, discussing addiction and eating disorders.I am on the medical faculty at SUNY Downstate Hospital providing guidance, teaching and mentoring for psychiatric residents.

I’m a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 8 years of nursing experience. I am familiar with depression, anxiety, insomnia as well as the panic disorder, bipolar 2 and adhd disorders. I like to educate my clients about mental health and medications, proper drug use and interactions, adverse drug reactions, and the course and prognosis of mental illness.

Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified by the ANCC. I integrate evidenced-based practices and provide a holistic approach.The initial meeting consists of a comprehensive assessment. I will prepare a customized treatment plan which may include pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities for the treatment of several mental health issues. I utilize the most current and comprehensive regimens. I also provide evaluation/letters for emotional support animals. I am a NYS certified Medical cannabis prescriber in New York State for several health conditions.
