I am a board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience. Proficient in both medication treatment and psychotherapy, I provide a whole-client approach. I take the time to hear the breadth and depth of your experience, and dedicate the same effort to crafting a treatment plan in a spirit of collaboration. I develop medication regimens tailored to your needs and update them as needed. I also provide both individual and group psychotherapy. I have a particular interest in making mental health care accessible to all members of our diverse community.

Dr. Swaminathan Thangaraj is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. He received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, then completed general psychiatry residency at Drexel College of Medicine, followed by child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Before joining the outpatient psychiatry team at CareMind Health/Mindoula Clinical Services, Dr. Thangaraj worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Sheppard-Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and McLean Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Heather Mak is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed her Internship & residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Before joining the outpatient psychiatry team at CareMind Health/Mindoula Clinical Services, Dr. Mak worked as a Staff Psychiatrist for the San Diego Amer. Indian Health Center and for the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Mak has held a Faculty position with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Mak is currently a Navy Reserve Officer.

Favored Hands Telepsychiaty, LLC is a Telemedicine practice ran by Franca Bakane who is a board certified PMHNP with several years of experience serving patients with varying mental health conditions. Her background includes providing psychopharmacology and therapeutic services to adolescent and adults in a variety of settings including, inpatient, outpatient, and corrections. I diagnose and treat many conditions some of which include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, OCD, PTSD and a lot more. Telepsych Appointment are carried out via a secure video link. Evening hours may be available with Prior Arrangement.

Dr. Temi has extensive experience in treating mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Bipolar etc in children, adolescents, and adults, and in various clinical settings. Dr. Temi is attentive and she provides evidence-based care in a holistic approach by taking various factors into account. When Dr. Temi is with her patient, she takes her time listening to her patient’s needs as she thinks successful treatment is based on strong communication and collaborative work with patients.

Dr. Hong specializes in child-, adolescent-, and adult psychiatry; and provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment, medication management, and psychotherapy. His expertise is in ADHD, anxiety disorder, OCD, depression in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Hong is an expert in early childhood mental health for toddlers and preschoolers. Both telehealth and in-person sessions are offered. Dr. Hong is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
