Do you ever feel a tug-of-war inside, with different parts of you pulling in various directions? This inner dialogue can be confusing, but a completely natural part of being human. We all have different parts of ourselves, some carrying difficult emotions like shame or anger, while others step in to protect us from those feelings. Therapy is not about fixing something “wrong” with you. Often, our emotional reactions or behaviors are understandable responses to past experiences. What might have once been self-protective or even life-saving can become challenging when our circumstances change, yet the feelings or behaviors linger.
In our sessions, we will gently explore these aspects of yourself, aiming to understand and heal the wounded parts, and restore balance within your system. Together, we’ll work to bring your conscious mind and physical nervous system up to date, enabling you to make free choices in the present and improve your sense of well-being.
As an IFS Trained Therapist, I am dedicated to helping you connect with your inner wisdom and find relief from emotional constraints. We’ll create a safe space where you can work towards a more present and purposeful life. I offer telehealth sessions in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
