The clients I treat tend to be self-disciplined people who are often hard on themselves. I help clients to empower them to use the insight they have to learn about themselves, grow, and develop healthier, more helpful ways of viewing themselves and the world.
I have a soft spot for and experience in POC/Asian-American matters, such as acculturation stress, conflict with culture and family, as well as racial trauma. Your real life happens outside of therapy sessions. I can offer a warm, compassionate listening ear, and also provide you with the tools to feel like yourself again.
It's important to me to use a warm and collaborative approach to help you reach your goals in therapy. As your therapist, I'd like you to feel heard and supported, while also guiding you toward growth, aka holding your feet to the fire, sometimes.
