Starting psychotherapy can feel daunting, but my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. Through attunement, empathy, and a genuine presence, I strive to foster a therapeutic relationship that encourages open exploration of thoughts and feelings. Utilizing a psychodynamic treatment approach, I guide clients in examining the deeper emotional conflicts and unconscious patterns that shape their experiences. By bringing awareness to these underlying dynamics, we can work together to uncover maladaptive defense mechanisms and empower you to make meaningful change in your life.
I utilize other psychotherapeutic approaches to enhance my practice. Some of these include CBT and ER/P for obsessive-compulsive disorder and brief somatic interventions to help clients reconnect with their bodies and release stored tension. I also draw on principles from positive and health psychology to support individuals with chronic health issues.
