When I was an adolescent I was a Bart Simpson. I was routinely sent to the office, struggled with peer relationships and had frequent conflicts with authority figures. I relate well with teen and young adult males because I still partake in lifting, skating, and gaming. It can be difficult navigating the labyrinths of life, be it conflicts with parents, the effects of divorce, the aftermath of abuse, etc. Long story short, with good decisions and coping skills, you can overcome your problems and correct the course of your ship.
What I'm going for as a clinician is you bringing your issues to session and me coaching you to solve them yourself with the insight of someone who has been in similar circumstances while engaging in a fun/no-pressure conversation. Treatment modalities will vary based on what therapy structure is right for you be it: CBT, DBT, motivational-interviewing, etc.
It’s my hope that future you will be glad that younger you saw me because an objectively better version of you is out there, just waiting to be embodied. I’ll make it my job to help you unlock the tools necessary to get you to a point where you no longer need to see me. I want to help you to achieve a better life.
