I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (111091) in California. I have specialized in the treatment of eating disorders/ disordered eating, emotional and overeating, as well as body image for 16 years through both a clinical and research lens. I believe that all clients have unique strengths and are capable of creating meaningful change in their lives. I enjoy helping clients access these strengths while improving their relationship with food, body, and mind through identifying and connecting with values, learning healthy coping skills, and improving communication.

Our relationships with food, our bodies, and the world around us are complex. When someone is struggling with an eating disorder, or suspect they might be, it is recommended to speak with a specialist. My office is located in San Diego, CA but I offer Telehealth sessions to those in CA who do not live close to an Eating Disorder Specialist.

Starting treatment with a new provider can be difficult, no matter where you are in your recovery process. I am always happy to answer any questions, discuss treatment options, and help you navigate the process. I am in constant appreciation of the privilege to work and connect with clients. Group therapy offers an understanding environment to process feelings and learn new healthy coping skills. It is a time and space to be with others who understand thoughts and behaviors associated with an eating disorders/ disordered eating and to gain support in each individuals recovery journey. Teen Eating Disorder Support Group

Hosted by

Brittney France

This group is for teens (age 13-18) who are in recovery from an eating disorder. Group will allow space to explore situations and relationships teens face while working on their own recovery. Through recovery teens must navigate school, peer relationships, family relationships, athletics, social media, and diet culture amongst other things. We aim to make the group a safe space for teens to process both hard times and victories in their recovery while getting support from others who understand and also learning new skills and tools along the way.
