I support individuals, couples and families through experiences of depression, trauma, anxiety, negative self-image, relationship challenges, transitions and other life challenges. My work incorporates training in modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and Attachment-Based Family Therapy that are particularly helpful for couples and families in distress and seeking greater connection. I have also studied personally through a concentrated learning experience with Bessel van der Kolk (Body Keeps the Score) that informs a trauma-informed and depathologizing lens.
My holistic approach involves helping clients to tune into self-compassion, the wisdom of the body, and relational authenticity. I hope to foster a sense of safety in our work that can help clients to regulate the nervous system, to make desired changes, and to experience a more balanced and flexible emotional life.
Sometimes we don’t know exactly what we need or why, but we know that we need some help, or company, as we sort out our circumstances. I'm happy to be a first step as you consider therapy. I offer in-person appointments (depending on availability) and telehealth appointments. I work under the supervision of Wendy Denham PhD (PSY20898).
