Healthy people grow and evolve through all of life’s phases. These times of transition can be confusing and painful. Therapy provides a safe space to explore the difficult emotions, thoughts, and relationship dynamics that can arise during challenging times. Therapy provides a place to examine changing experiences related to sexuality and gender. Challenges related to substance abuse, trauma, illness, and the aging process can also be discussed and better understood.
I am skilled in a variety of therapeutic techniques, and I tailor each client’s treatment to their needs and the issues we are exploring. I often use an approach called psychodynamic therapy. This is a type of therapy that focuses on gaining insight into past and present behaviors, as well as deepening self-awareness.
