Most of us know how we're 'supposed to' take care of ourselves. Yet, I work with smart people often baffled by their own compulsive eating, isolation, or self-defeating thoughts. They know they aren't taking good care of themselves, but they can't seem to make changes. Working collaboratively, we tailor therapy to your needs. Whether exploring the origins of behaviors and triggers, or employing strengths toward a new direction, you can expect honest, kind feedback, with a healthy dose of humor in our work together.
Compulsive eating/binge eating, low self-esteem, and body hatred are particular areas in which I specialize. Each client's treatment is different and may focus on anything from talking, mindfulness, to introducing gentle movement.
