I am a social worker partnering with people to make changes in their lives. Creating change can be challenging, and I provide the security and consistency that allows people to grow. I believe that therapy is built on respect, acknowledgment, and reflection where people can develop a clearer picture of their lives, what is working and what could be improved. The support within this relationship allows people to increase their self-awareness, self-compassion, control over their emotions, and coping strategies. Simply regularly meeting with an accepting, non-judgmental therapist can help people feel more at ease in their daily lives.
I have experience working with people with histories of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of mental health that are getting in their way. I also work with adult children from substance dependent or dysfunctional families examine rigid behavioral or thought patterns to shift them to become more rewarding.
I have studied and trained in trauma treatment, Mindfulness practices, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and substance misuse treatment. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
