| español You may be needing relief from depression, or from various form of anxiety including trauma and grief. Others struggle with anger or addictive behaviors and are looking for ways to feel more in control. Or, some have concerns about their kids, ADHD, autism, or other behaviors, and would like someone to come along side to support both parents and child. We know that all change is based on how well we know and connect with our clients. We try to do so through first making each person feel understood, to join in their strugggle, and perhaps use a sense of humor if appropriate. We also offer Christian counseling and services in Spanish.
Our practice is based on building up the family, and that means supporting marriage as the cornerstone of the family. Some marriages are distant and change is on the horizon. We hope to bring positive change, and are comfortable working to reduce conflict. Relationships with children may be affected, and our goal would be to strengthen the parent-child bond.
We want to build a good working relationship (the biggest factor in success), aside from finding personal strengths and resources of each person. We use evidence-based practices to find hope. We favor a direct approach to talk about what each person wants (client goals, not ours), so each person feels heard, understood, respected, so that no one feels alone.
