As humans, I believe one of our greatest needs is to be seen and heard by others with kindness and understanding. My intention as a practitioner is to provide a safe, calm, and grounded space in which you are heard and deeply respected. To that end, I practice counseling with focused sincerity and heartfelt joy. As a practitioner, I think of myself as a generalist and enjoy working with a wide variety of people across the lifespan with different challenges and symptoms.
I have specialized training in trauma recovery, and I have clinical interest in working with adults who are recovering from complex developmental trauma and building long term healing relationships with clients. I am hesitant to pathologize, and more often tend to view symptoms as natural adaptations and defenses to challenging, unsafe circumstances.
Together we can explore these dynamics with curiosity and kindness, and learn skills to meet these moments in new ways so that you experience a greater sense of choice and freedom in your life.
