Relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. My central focus at the beginning is to create a safe, non-judgmental space with you so that our therapeutic relationship can grow. I am interested in knowing who you are, how you think, what your desires are, your relationships, what you identify as barriers to being all that you can be--all in order to understand who you are and how you function in the world. I want to work intimately with you to help you find health, wholeness, well-being, creativity, and freedom.
I will help you work past the blocks that prevent you from living wholeheartedly: I want to help you have the relationship you desire, move beyond depression and anxiety, feel satisfied with your career, or be creative. I am especially interested in helping LGBT clients fully emerge from the "closet." I am a certified EMDR therapist trained to treat trauma.
Good therapy is collaborative and is built upon a foundation of safety and honest communication. Deep, mindful, actively reflective listening is the core of the work we'll do together.
