When I was reaching out for counseling for the first time, I felt so stuck and helpless. There were so many things to consider and I was worried about finding the right fit for my needs as well as finding someone who I could truly trust and resonate with. With empathy and safety as top priorities, we can begin to untangle stories, process grief, relieve anxiety or depression, or address trauma. As a Mexican-American who has a background in non-profit youth work, I have a strong lens of family systems, diversity, and attachment theory. I have a lot of passion for working with multicultural issues, individuals with complex or traumatic relationships with their parents/families, spirituality/religious issues, and perfectionism.
I hope to provide a safe space for you built on the foundations of trust, honesty, authenticity, autonomy, and empathy.
