Going to therapy for the first time or finding a new therapist can feel scary. Each of us faces challenges, life transitions, and pain - coping with that stress on our own eventually takes its toll. Having a trusted therapist to turn to in our struggle can make challenges easier to navigate and ultimately lead to lasting and positive change. Though significant portion of my work is with gifted individuals, I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

I work with clients to bring meaning and understanding to how their thoughts, beliefs and life experiences impact their actions and related outcomes. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Narrative Therapy principles and interventions to encourage insight and behavioral change.

Because trauma intersects with many clients’ experiences and can impede body awareness/ability to regulate emotion, the Polyvagal Theory guides my use of mindfulness techniques, yoga, and expressive arts to practice body awareness and engage the ventral vagus branch.
