Effectively engaging in these three behaviors are essential to effective communication as well as self-esteem building. Individuals must be able to validate, affirm, and encourage themselves and others to overcome difficulties.
Dr. Marks integrates her VAE model with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Skills Training, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.
