Motherhood can bring levels of joy you never thought possible. It can also be overwhelming, lonely, or overstimulating. Living in the ups and downs seems to be a daily, even momentary, experience. Some of the emotions and thoughts you are navigating during pregnancy and postpartum were not in the books or articles about what to expect during this time. Your identity is shifting from who you once were to who you are now becoming. Every mama could use support while navigating this transformative and transitional season.
What does therapy look like when working with me? My approach is to balance finding realistic and simple coping skills while unpacking the underlying parts that are being activated in motherhood. Finding doable ways to care for yourself while caring for littles is attainable. Let's take those insights in session and turn them into actions you can use daily.
