I work with adult abuse survivors, couples, veterans, and people struggling with change and loss. I treat mood, anxiety, and trauma-related issues and relational problems. My approach to therapy is based mainly in psychodynamic theory with use of mindfulness/meditation, cognitive-behavioral, and narrative psychotherapy interventions.
I believe healing and change happen all the time. These arise through a-ha moments about the nature of trauma and the mind, seeing through thoughts that trample our capacity for joy, and practicing new habits that serve us and others in a better way.
