Welcome. My name is Julia, and I’m here to support you. As a therapist, I specialize in trauma recovery and all that comes with it - depression, anxiety, grief, anger, coping (both healthy and unhealthy), and more.
I have specific experience working with people battling substance abuse, and with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I primarily use mindfulness, parts work, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in sessions with my clients.
Therapy is a lot like exercise - it’s hard to get started, it hurts while you’re doing it… and you’re always glad you did it anyway. The first step is asking for help. This is hard, but you can absolutely do it. You're already here, aren't you?
