I work with people who struggle with problems of living. Psychotherapy can address these struggles; it helps you better understand how you are troubled, identify what you want to change, explore why it is hard to change, and enable you to become more what you want to be. I also work with people who simply want to understand themselves better and enrich their lives.
My kind of psychotherapy is analytically informed. It uses the role of the unconscious and the therapeutic relationship. Patients who find this kind of therapy useful are curious about themselves, are willing to take time to get to know themselves better, and are not looking for a "quick fix."
I have experience in dealing with breast cancer and I welcome the opportunity to help others with this disease. I also am familiar with the opportunities and stressors of having to change careers.
