Finding a therapist can feel daunting—it's such an important choice! That's why I do my best to create an experience for my clients that is warm, welcoming, authentic, and trusting. Part of why I decided to become a therapist is because of how important I believe our relationships are to our well-being. While relationships can be sources of immense distress, pain, confusion, and loneliness, I also believe that when they are healthy and safe, they have the ability to soothe, comfort, and create powerful change.
I'm an LMFT, LPC, and I have my M.A. in Couple & Family Therapy. I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) for individuals. I love these methods because they honor our innate need for connection and consider emotions vital sources of information and powerful vehicles for closeness.
I see the therapy relationship as a place to learn new ways of being/seeing ourselves. Our relationship becomes a safe platform to process painful, confusing, and stuck emotions. I dig in with you and we get to the heart of things so that you no longer feel so alone, and ultimately feel healthier and more connected to yourself and to those who matter most.
