What does it mean to live your best quality of life? If you’ve ever felt like you wanted to enjoy a better quality of life but have struggled to get there or even figure out what that means, you have come to the right place. I am a therapist with many years of experience working with middle aged adults in corporate, community, and military settings. I have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma focused interventions, racial trauma, and short-term solution focused therapy. In therapy, I work towards understanding the whole person, including your biological, psychological, and social challenges that impact you.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I seek to learn about the events and relationships that have shaped you into who you are today. I aim to help you develop tools and coping skills to better manage the challenges and obstacles that you contend with. Our relationship is truly collaborative since you are the expert on yourself.
I work with underserved and underrepresented individuals of African descent and POCs. I understand that we face various challenges based on the color of our skin that cause unique and complex trauma. I focus on ensuring that everyone who I work with feels safe, heard, respected, and valued. For your convenience, I offer telehealth therapy in the evenings.
