I am a licensed psychologist, co-founder and director of the Anxiety Treatment Center of Maryland, and part-time Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Medicine. I specialize in treating and preventing all forms of anxiety, depression, and related problems in children, adolescents, and adults using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

My approach to treatment is informed by the current state of science in psychology. A wealth of data suggests that CBT is the most effective form of psychotherapy for reducing anxiety and improving overall functioning.
