Feeling depressed and unmotivated? Anxious and plagued by ruminating thoughts? Feeling hopeless about your ability to improve? We will work together to establish concrete goals for your treatment, address external barriers and cognitive distortions halting progress, and build skills to manage your distress. My goal is to support you and provide more directive services, as needed, to help you attain your ideal level of functioning and most authentic self!
I specialize in individual and group therapy, utilizing frameworks like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and more. As a social worker, I also specialize in utilization of frameworks that look at the "big picture," specifically biopsychosocial influences and other systems (societal/cultural, etc.) of oppression.
I believe that all people have the capability to heal and ease their suffering, and it's likely that you simply have not yet had the right support or skills to do so. In session, I will support you with a blend of empathy, guidance, and skill building. I'd love to connect to see if I am what you're needing in a clinician as you begin this change!
