This process group is designed for patients and support/care-givers of patients diagnosed with life-altering medical diagnoses. The aim is to help members better understand and manage the psychological impact of medical diagnoses of all types, lessening isolation, increasing social networks and addressing significant and ongoing adjustment challenges for both patients and their support-providers. Goals also include managing depression, stress and frustration, creating empowerment through psycho-education and sharing of information, resources and experiences.
