I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, families, and young adults to make positive change. My goal is to establish a safe, comfortable environment for you to express yourself, find your inner strength, and experience growth and healing. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I utilize a solution focused, strength-based approach to make progress towards the goals that we will create together. I accentuate the learning of new skills in coping, communicating, and connecting, for you and your family members. When appropriate, we'll explore community resources that may provide some relief for your current challenges.
I love working with children and young adults to achieve their goals relating to a variety of issues. Some examples of these issues might include: anxiety, depression, processing grief, managing anger, working through life adjustments and transitions such as divorce or the blending of families.
I have had extensive trauma therapy training to help you process through past or current experiences that may be affecting your emotions, beliefs, and behaviors. We will work together to improve your, or your child's, confidence, overall communication, and relationships with others.
