I am a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst specializing in adult individual psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I focus on developing a deeper understanding of you and the role of your unconscious conflicts in the difficulties you are experiencing. We all unintentionally and unconsciously contribute to our obstacles. Finding out more about how, when, and why you may inadvertently undermine yourself can free you to change in ways that little else can offer. It can also help with difficult problems that nothing else has helped.
I usually schedule one to three initial meetings to develop some understanding of you and for you to assess if you are comfortable with me. I usually share some initial impressions about your concerns and then try to help you decide what feels best to you about how to move forward.
I work in both short-term and long-term ways, depending on your needs and preferences. I am trained in psychoanalysis and trauma work. I view the therapeutic relationship as central to the effectiveness of the therapy.
