Hola! I'm Dr. Marisol Blanco, bilingual Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Qualified Supervisor with over 12 years of practice. Throughout my clinical experience, I have had the opportunity of providing individual, group, and couples including pre-marital counseling in a variety of settings that included community mental health, nursing homes, college counseling and private practice. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, adjustment difficulties to life stages and situations, relationships, and grief.
By using EFIT & CBT approaches, I help my clients increase their self/others' acceptance and compassion, establish appropriate loving/caring boundaries, and increase their confidence in facing challenges that get in the way of pursuing their life goals. In my sessions, I rely on validation, humor, and strengths-identification to gently help my clients.
I know that our mental/emotional health suffers based on situations that are very real, yet we don't have to suffer alone. A therapist can help you to get unstuck from the past and to feel more balanced in the present. Reaching out is the first, and for some, the most difficult step.
