I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 25 years of experience in working with adolescents, adults and families. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a locked facility for juveniles, doctor offices within a hospital setting, a charter school which specialized in individualized and flexible strategies to teach students, an adoption agency performing assessments and conducting birth parent counseling, and a community mental health center. I have been in private practice for the last 12 years.
Much of my experience includes assisting individuals and families dealing with mood disorders, anxiety, and other disruptive behaviors including sexually inappropriate behaviors. I also have significant experience in helping individuals struggling with weight loss issues. I take a solution focused and cognitive behavioral approach when dealing with clients.
My goal for every client is that their awareness improves and they are able to take steps toward a healthier and happier life. I am committed to helping each client gain insight and build on their strengths.
