Many of my patients have been in therapy before, where they used skills and strategies to better manage their lives, but have found that this was not deep enough to make lasting changes. So, I don’t give advice or come with a pre-arranged agenda. Instead, we focus on your concerns and what you have to say while gradually developing a strong therapeutic relationship which is the most important factor in therapy. My role is first and foremost to listen attentively and without judgment so you have space to think, feel, and talk.
As we talk, I’ll ask questions and make connections to get to know you and help you work through difficulties. As we do this, you'll likely grieve losses, own mistakes without harsh self-judgment, accept yourself more while also making changes, become more assertive or gentler, and come to feel, act, and think in ways that weren't possible before.
I often work as a generalist but also specialize in neurodivergence/neurodiversity, working with trauma, and attachment difficulties. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to talk therapy, I provide play therapy for children age 10 and under.
