My style is casual, warm, empathetic, accepting and genuine. My job as a therapist is to understand client needs; offer new perspectives, share therapeutic skills based on well researched treatment modalities and help clients reach goals they create. Problems I can help with are depression, anxiety, panic attacks, substance use, low self esteem, grief, life transitions, dissatisfaction with life, social anxiety, relationship issues (individual), suicide ideations, and the impact of traumatic events.
As a mature adult I have experienced many challenges in my own life such as being a neurodivergent single parent, changing careers more than once and surviving a year of breast cancer treatment. I can offer true empathy and understanding to each of my clients as they share their struggles, accomplishments, hopes and dreams in a confidential environment.
It is an honor for me to develop a trusting relationship with another person. In my work I walk along side clients as they explore their thoughts, memories and behaviors and develop new ways of perceiving themselves, others and the world around them. It takes an open mind, targeted effort and everyone’s favorite … time. The results are worth it!
