Growing up in Latinx culture, I understand how hard it can be to talk about mental health, especially with someone you’ve just met. In my therapeutic approach I aim to foster a relationship with you based on mutual trust; one that utilizes your individual, collective & cultural strengths, while teaching you new skills that can improve your mental health.
My clients are pre-teens, teens and women of color. I utilize evidence-based treatments as well as social justice & decolonization approaches to therapy. I also incorporate humor & interactive elements such as play, art & music in my practice. I have witnessed the transformative power of these elements in sessions & enjoy utilizing them when appropriate.
