Hello and thank you for checking out my profile on Psychology Today! I am a psychotherapist in practice near Downtown Decatur. I work with a variety of adults including those who struggle with stress, "being stuck", depression, anxiety, codependency, and relationship struggles. I am an ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) therapist. What this means in a nutshell is that I help clients to learn and utilize mindfulness to help handle difficult thoughts and feelings more effectively so that they can live into fully being the person they want to be.
Additionally I am intensively trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and I teach DBT Skills training both individually and in a class setting. Please see my "Groups" section to learn more about the DBT Skills Training class I offer.
My client hours are Mon-Thu 8am-2pm (last appt at 1:00pm). I am currently accepting clients who would like to self-pay for therapy or who have BCBS, Aetna, Medicare, or Humana Insurance.
