As a multicultural counselor, it's important to me to be culturally sensitive to the effects that society has on marginalized groups. My mission is to create a space where all clients can feel empowered by their own distinctive backgrounds.
I use a person centered and an integrative approach with each of my clients. I provide empathic understanding to help clients better identify and meet their own needs. With training in psychodynamic techniques I also try to help clients understand their own patterns of behaviors that impact the present.
