Day to day life can be exhausting, stressful and anxiety inducing. It is easier said than done to “enjoy the little things in life,” when we have so many outside pressures weighing on us. When we feel overwhelmed by these pressures our mental health and personal relationships can suffer. When our environment seems too overwhelming we can find ourselves getting stuck repeating the same non-productive behaviors. Children seem unmanageable, we don't feel as connected to our partners or spouses anymore and we don't even recognize ourselves. I hope to assist you and yours in managing difficult times and strengthening your relationships.
I have the most experience working with teens, college students, and families/parents. I am also experienced in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and low self esteem. I use a structural approach combined with CBT and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in gaining back control in their lives.
Therapy can be intimidating and scary sometimes. This is why I emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance with clients.
