Psychotherapy is an effective way for individuals to make significant personal life changes. I partner with my clients to identify the concerns and experiences that have led them to seek psychotherapy. Together we create a treatment plan that identifies ideals and sets goals and realistic expectations for change. Fostering resilience in the face of adversity, through a confidential therapeutic relationship we collaborate to break unhealthy patterns and create newer, more adaptive coping skills. With mutual commitment, honesty, trust, and humor, psychological, emotional, and functional personal change is achievable and sustainable.
I provide individual, couple, and family therapy to adults and adolescents. Specialties include interpersonal relationships, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, sexuality, gender matters, adolescent development, parenting, life transitions, career issues, trauma, ADD, PTSD, attachment and personality disorders, self-injury, culture, and identity formation.
Twenty-eight years in practice, I am a very experienced clinician. A warm and nonjudgemental psychotherapist, I am interactive and highly respectful of individual differences. I value my clients and the clinical work. I am committed to individuals finding authenticity and personal success. I am accessible to my clients and to other health-care professionals.
