Many of the people who consult with me identify as artists, writers, filmmakers, educators, activists, sex workers, queer, transgender, nonbinary, polyamorous/non-monogamous, or are living in resistance to social norms in one way or another. Problems can seem to take over our lives when we find ourselves living near the edges of what's deemed "acceptable," "respectable," or even "healthy." Through our conversations, I aim to help people reimagine the kinds of responses and relationships they'd like to have with difficult situations or problems in their lives.
I believe the people I talk with are experts on what's best for them—what they want more of in their lives, their hopes, dreams and values. Together we can cultivate an awareness of the problems impacting you, consider forms of oppression supporting these problems, and explore what skills and strengths you've developed in life to support your resistance.
My hope is to offer openness and non-judgement to those who consult with me while creating ample space to question normativity. I take a non-pathologizing approach to care while working with diagnoses that have been helpful for you.
