I primarily work with the LGBTQIA2S+ community and have worked with trans, nonbinary, and gender-questioning adolescents, adults, and their families for the last 10 years around gender identity exploration, gender dysphoria, medical transition, and treating trauma related to gender and sexuality. I'm trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and provided individual and group DBT treatment. I lead an LGBTQIA2S+ DBT adult group through NW DBT. I also specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, and trauma. I'm trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD/anxiety and DBT Prolonged Exposure for the treatment of trauma.
We will look at several aspects of your life that may be affecting the issues you may be experiencing, such as the relationship between gender, social, cultural influences, and oppression, to understand your own unique experiences. We will work together to find what treatment approach best fits your needs.
I work from a foundation of compassion with the intent to give you a safe place to explore yourself that is free from judgment, oppression, and harmful messages. Therapy is a collaborative process. It is my role to help you explore the barriers and challenges you experience, so you may develop your natural capacity to live a deeper and more fulfilling life.
