I am an Approved Supervisor in the State of Virginia. I supervise interns and also MSW's seeking licensure. In my practice my goal is to assist Adults with building Mental Fortitude. I have a wealth of experience with working with those who are experiencing difficulties within their life. My expertise is working with people who are experiencing a mental health crisis or simply need a neutral ear. My goal with each person is assist them with doing the work to improve their lives by improving their self care.
Most people experience symptoms of anxiety or depression at some time in their life. The most difficult first step is to acknowledge your symptoms are real. This step is difficult due to feelings of guilt or shame, or not prioritizing self care. I assist with identifying strategies to improve self care and to reduce symptoms related to anxiety or depression
I examine the environment in which people live, work and play. I assist people as they strengthen their place in their environment by helping to improve self care, reduce stress and identifying strengths.
