Initiating counseling can be an intimidating or difficult process and it is extremely important that you feel safe and comfortable with the therapist you choose. I strive to provide a safe and collaborative environment to help you achieve your therapeutic goals and facilitate meaningful change in your life. Although I enjoy working with a variety of issues and concerns, some of my specialty areas include trauma, couples and relationships, eating disorders and body image concerns, self-harm behaviors, identity development, LGBTQI issues, and whole person care.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and I tailor treatment to your specific needs. I am a certified Gestalt therapist and Gestalt work emphasizes your unique experience, a focus on the present, the environment, and our therapeutic relationship. Although Gestalt is my specialty, I use techniques from multiple disciplines in my work.
At Goldsmith Psychological Services, we are sensitive to multicultural issues and welcome working with people from many different backgrounds, systems, and beliefs. Your individuality is important to us and we will work together to form goals that fit for you and your needs.
