My name is Stephanie & I have provided therapy exclusively via telehealth for the last 3 years (previously in person). If you have been struggling with depression or anxiety, particularly if related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, & to help you experience a present that is not negatively impacted by events from your past. I place a high value on authenticity, empathy, & self-awareness as critical parts of the therapeutic process & aim to validate my clients’ experiences without judgment & provide the most basic of needs: to feel seen and heard
While I tailor my approach to each client & their specific needs, for me, the therapeutic relationship trumps all, since without a level of trust, no approach will be effective. I spend the time at the beginning of treatment really getting to know the client's background, needs, & goals so that I can choose the most appropriate approach for each client.
My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female and being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. If I can be of service to you, I hope you will reach out and set up a time for us to meet.
