My practice is primarily focused on people struggling with traumatic experiences and substance use. Over the last 14 years I have worked primarily with military veterans. My goal is to help clients process experiences, better understand stressors, and help identify effective ways to cope. In sessions, clients will find warmth, compassion, and a focus on what is most important to them.
For 17 years I have practiced and trained people in therapy. Currently, I am the Chief Clinical Officer at Front Range Clinic, a professor in DU's Grad School of Social Work, and speak nationally as an expert for news outlets. Prior to this, I spent a decade with the VA hospital system and 4 years as a family therapist with the University of Colorado.
Take the first step and reach out to me for a 15-minute free phone consultation to learn more. Therapy can be whatever you need it to be with me. My only agenda is to help you figure out what you need to do to have a better life.
