Dr. Tracey Bassett a licensed clinical psychologist who practices on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. She was trained as a child and family therapist focusing on anxiety, mood disorders, school related issues, as well as oppositional and disruptive behaviors in children and adolescents. She specializes in working from a cognitive behavioral approach and has experience with evidence based treatments such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Parent Child Interactional Therapy.
In 2010, she joined a practice with Dr. Samuel Glazer, combining her expertise working with adolescents with his knowledge of addiction, and began treating adolescents and adults struggling with addiction.
Although Dr. Bassett continues to see children and families, her practice has grown to primarily treat adults and adolescents that have co-occurring substance and behavioral addictions. Her therapeutic approach focuses on building a customized, strength based, behavioral treatment plan, which can include both individual and family work.
