This is my favorite quote and what I try to reinforce when working with my clients. I believe therapy is a healing journey that consists of gaining awareness, insight, and growth. I work with my clients on identifying and setting concrete goals in order to move beyond their obstacles. I concentrate on helping my clients overcome negative thinking patterns while building self-esteem as they navigate life’s challenges.
My areas of interests and experience are in: Anxiety, Depression, Stress Reduction and Management, Relationship issues, Women's Issues, overcoming negative thinking patterns, and Substance Use/Co-Occurring disorder related issues. My commitment to working with my clients, is to help my clients learn effective coping skills and techniques.
I work with the theoretical approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have found this approach to be highly successful when working many populations.
